The Terminology Tales
Every root, in your inbox.
One letter a fortnight: the full word list for each episode, the roots found after it aired, and the next root before anyone else hears it.
What arrives
The morning an episode publishes: its full word list with the dictionary each word was checked against, the words that were cut for time, and the roots listeners sent in that made it onto The Register. Between episodes, the next root, before anyone else hears it. There are no sponsors, no affiliates and no “partners”; if the list is ever used for anything but the show, you will be told first and it will be your choice.
How it is handled
We store your address, which page you subscribed from, the address the request came from, the dates you subscribed and confirmed, and — for each letter — whether it was sent to you, so that one is never sent twice. Confirmation is double opt-in, every letter carries an unsubscribe link that works on the first click, there is no tracking pixel, and the whole list can be deleted on request. The details are in the privacy notice.
